King Crab Legs

Snow king crab leg is obtained from the southern water at the Pacific Ocean, With the placement of traps in individual lines maintained with buoys, having one trap per line. Trapping is highly selective and the product is discharged alive to achieve maximum quality. This benthic crustacean is characterized by inhabiting the cold waters of the south of the American continent, distributed among regions X and XII from Chile (Patagonia), being a world-class product of those caught in the Magallanes region due to their large size. This crab is found in depths of up to 600 meters and the average size of its head is 12 cm. The availability of this resource is available from July to November of each year and its extraction is artisanal.
